I had the privilege to get behind the mic along with Matt Johnson of Microfamous fame and loved it. We went into a few things and Matt actually summed it up best with these 3 things that we covered:
On a quest to get 100 quality responses, I recently I asked several people this question: I am launching a new podcast later this year and a few other programs too and had a quick question if you don’t mind- what would you say is the single biggest challenge you’re currently facing in your life or business right now? As you can imagine, there have been an assortment of answers. Here's one topic that does seem to be trending for the current events. Employee fatigue. Seems we're seeing a struggle with keeping team members focused (that's of course if we can find people that actually want to work). I guess this one stands out to me because of my role as a Regional Coach for a large Real Estate Expansion team. I see it with them and I hear about it concerning buyers they are working with too.
Here are 3 things that will make a big difference in how you lead. I trust this helps. Sometimes we can take on the world and other times we hide in the corner sucking our thumb. Well, maybe that’s just me. The difference? Confidence. What is it? Where does it come from? Can we create or build it? Here’s how those who experience purpose answer those questions.
This is a subject that comes up at our QC Mastermind. When attendees find out they are going to be required to do an 8 minute presentation on the last day, fear strikes the heart of the majority. “I’ve never spoken before”, “I’m not good at it”, “Do I have to?”... all statements and questions we hear. Fast forward 7 weeks and they step up to the platform like a superhero in a cape. What makes the difference? You already know… confidence. Some of you know that I have really wanted to write a book for a long time. Be prepared to read here a vulnerable conversation I've been having with myself for the last couple of months.
The verbal soup in my head is relentless and #MomentumTribe deserves a well thought out and articulated version of almost 20 years experience. You’d think that was reason enough to make it happen. And yet, here I am with one pathetic book published a decade ago and another digital one in 2018. Why does writing have to be so hard? Layer on top of those the books I’ve read and think to myself, damn I could have easily put that on paper too. Those authors are out proclaiming their sound message while I’m still over here sipping on my soup. This morning, as I looked at my screen I thought to myself: “Why is this so hard?” Ugh. And then immediately my mind kicked in… When we wrote about the first obstacle last week it only took that much time to surface the second obstacle. If you didn’t get a chance to see the first one, find it here. Basically we unraveled the conversation around having a clear and compelling outcome. Without it, you’re doomed to consistent feelings of failure.
What do you think happens when we write down our outcomes? Do you typically just go after it? If so, how long does that level of intensity last before you begin to re-address that outcome? In my experience, it's only about a week or two before I start rethinking things. Maybe it’s longer for you, but for me I find myself looking at other options. I noted last week that I recently took on over 70 real estate agents to Coach and this second obstacle has already begun to surface. It's where it all starts. To go from drifting aimlessly, to driving tirelessly, here's how we get into first gear.
We don't do what we think, we do what we feel. Let's unpack the one factor that creates the most fear.
Oh wah ah hah hah hah... (Disturbed reference for those that know). lol
Episode 4 is where we live most of the time when it comes to this process. Getting there is important, but staying there is crippling. It's what we all talk about having or wanting. It's the key ingredient to getting off our rear and getting into momentum. We all know the feeling...

I’m embarrassed. I haven’t posted anything here since 2019 and that makes me sad too. Our mission has always been to “Empower and Enrich every life we connect with” and I have dropped the ball on one of those outlets here on the blog. I have spent the last few weeks readjusting my focus so that I can get back to doing what I love, bringing value into your world. How? Well... |
